To Whom It May Concern:

To Whom It May Concern:

I am alive and well. I did return home to my home, husband and children. I did not flee from the responsibilities that awaited me upon my return to AZ. I had the most wonderful time in Utah with my mom, sister, brother in law, and wonderful nephew. Notice that I said NEPHEW. Not NEPHEWS. That is because my new nephew wanted me to see him when he has a few more tricks up his sleeve. According to Piper, by the time we get to see him, he will be army crawling. And so it was, he stayed tucked safely in the confides of his little tiny mama’s comfy “futrus” [fy-oo-trus] [Lennon-ism] until I was back in AZ for a few days and then decided that he would make his grand entrance into this world. I am trying not to be offended by a newborn baby. But it is hard. I really wanted to be with my sister when she allowed her body, mind and spirit to perform the ultimate act of bravery, respect, and love to get little Kyan to this world. I really wanted to smell his newness and breathe in his Spirit, touch his soft new baby skin, and especially feel the thinness of the veil that a new baby creates just by being born. Disappointed is a good word to describe how I feel. However, the disappointment doesn’t even hold a candle to the GRATITUDE that I feel at having the opportunity to spend some time with my sister and her beautiful little family just before they welcomed a long awaited member to their tribe. Really, the waiting was really special, exciting, and peaceful. It was a fun time. Target (times 6), walks in the woods and around the block, drives through the canyons, rides on the scooter (me, not Brandi), dinner and visits with grandparents, lots of hugs from Daysen, a shower first thing every day, shaved legs the whole time, (it was a luxury that Ryan didn’t get to enjoy), started and finished a really good book, visited an old friend in her charming abode, enjoyed Jen's (the best neighbor ever) broccoli chicken casserole (don’t think Mormon broccoli chicken casserole, think fresh and bursting with interesting flavors), talks on the phone with my little monkeys, an uplifting church service with my mom and sister which consisted of listening through sacrament, then listening through Sunday school, and yet again, listening through Relief Society. Church with Crue doesn’t permit listening these days. It was refreshing. The whole trip. Refreshing. Baby Kyan is here and safe and, from what I hear, very handsome and perfect in every way. Brandi is peaceful and pleased with her sweet baby, Jahde is still an amazing little daddy, and Daysen is the most special little kid you could know. Kyan is lucky to have him for a brother. Excited, prepared, and proud is Daysen, indeed. I arrived back home to Obama, a Mullet-headed princess, Piper, Crue and Ryan. Ryan had to mediate for Crue and I, as Crue had NO IDEA who I was for about 15 minutes. It was great to be welcomed home by the little people that I love most in this world (and the big person that I love most in this world). Family really is everything. It is good to be home. (although I wouldn’t be opposed to making a 10 day trek to Utah sans children an annual tradition).

The Stoneman girls are about as beautiful as they come.

Thank you so much for coming to see me.

First and foremost, I have the BEST inherited family EVER. Secondly, I've never seen a hotter 2-days-until-I-have-my-baby mom, ever.
Thirdly, watching your kids for a brief moment was a dream. So is your house....as are the snacks in you provide therein.
Lastly, the pictures you took, especially you on the trail with the fall trees? Stunning.

Yay! I'm so glad you are alive! I can't believe we were in Utah at the same time! We probably walked right by each other at Gateway...so sad.

I loved reading about your fun visit. Sorry the little guy wouldn't make his appearance while you were there.

LOVED the pictures!

Nat, so glad you decided of your own free will and choice to come back. The pictures are wonderful, and disturbing (mask on baby?) Anywho... good to see where you are!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments.

I do need to clarify. No babies were harmed in the taking of that picture. It is a Halloween decoration rubbery skeleton thingy. Not a real baby. Jahde was just practicing his caring for baby techniques.

I've been anxiously awaiting the news about Brandi. Thanks for the sweet, touching update. Does Brandi have an e-mail address? I can't seem to keep up with her. She looks amazing. I'm sorry you missed the actual birth, but so happy you lucky ladies got to spend such quality time together. Thanks for sharing- and tell Brandi to e-mail me when she gets a moment!

I'm glad you're back. In the pic of you and your mom (4th from the bottom), your mom looks invisible because she matches the background. that's a neat trick. I wish my mom had super powers.

I'm so honored to be 3rd cousins to the gorgeous Stoneman women! These are wonderful photos. Emily and Steve and I did try to come by last weekend-we were in town briefly. Sorry we missed you, Brandi.

I knew that it must be my favorite third cousin:). What does that make me and Emily? 3rd cousins once removed? Emily was explaining it but I got confused.
Thanks for commenting sister Godfrey! I love you much.

What a great trip! I think we all deserve some sound time away to make us more sane. I am talking to Adam tonight about my trip away, who knows where I will go, hmmm. Great pics too, love the color!

Looks like you had a great time. Glad to see that all is well, even though you didn't get to be there on the big day....there's NO replacing that special time with your mom and sister. I love the beautiful pics of the fall leaves...and of your cute little family. When I was looking at the picture of you and the kids at the airport, I flashed back to you being at my house for your mutual activities as a YW. It's so funny how things turn out, you were just a pretty YW who rolled the waistband of her jeans down (which I though was SO cool) and a baseball cap on your head. NOW, you have a hubby and 4 beautiful kids...it's strange-it doesn't seem that long ago. Take care of that cute little family!

I love the Obama mask! LOL! I would run for the hills...maybe even faster than if I was running from chasing bees! LOL! I am glad you had a good time but very sad you missed the birth of your new little nephew!
