On Saturday night I put clean sheets on my bed. On Monday morning Crue spilled a whole box of crackers in my bed. Monday night I brushed off the big chunks and collapsed into bed. Every night since I have done the same thing. When I am scratched and scraped by the remaining cracker crumbs I remind myself that I forgot to change the sheets again today. Note to self: change sheets tomorrow. Then I drift off to dream singing this song that was a childhood favorite. Music is such a huge part of my childhood memories. It made and makes me happy. And let's face it, who doesn't love Barbara Mandrell?
Also, just so you know, another Barbara Mandrell song is the theme song for my New York post coming soon. Any guesses???

Oh my gosh, I think you need a big hunk of CHEESE to go with those crackers! and you forgot to mention Crue in your bed at 5:30 saying 'I really hun-gee momma' So cute.
That is hilarious! And I am so sorry for Vivi's part in the crackers in the bed caper.
Vivi and Crue have a little love/hate relationship going on here. Maybe seeing Vivi reminds Crue of being in nursery. Funny babies!
you post youtube videos on your blog by copying the embed on the right side of the youtube screen and then pasting it into the edit Html screen of your new post. then if you click on the preview you'll see the youtube video in there. when you want to write something click back to compose screen and write what you want to. hope that helps.
There is nothing I love more than fresh clean sheets. So there have been so many times that I have drifted off to sleep reminding myself to change sheets and of course it takes at least a week before I actually remember to do it.
On another note...I loved the Mandrel sisters. I almost nannied for Louise instead of going to BYU. My mom put her foot down and wouldn't sign my nanny papers because I wasn't 18 yet.
Wait! Didn't I (sort of) tell you the same thing about youtube? Granted, I wasn't as specific, but what was the magic thing that made the difference? Anyway, I'm glad it worked!
Just kidding, you know how I love cheese. =)
Ahhhh. Now this is more like it. It didn't induce a single shudder.
That *bird* video on the other hand....just punch me in the face next time, I'd enjoy it more.
:)
Ahh! Barbara Mandrell! That brings back the memories of my mom and dad rocking out in the early eighties after we were sent to bed. Unfortunately my dad had to turn the music up to airplane decibels because he needed to "feel the music" vibrating through his body. I used to lay on the floor in our room upstairs and cry because I was so tired and the music was too loud. To this day I cannot stand to hear any parts of "Flashdance...What a Feeling." Anyway, that was a bit of a monologue wasn't it? Love you and sorry about the crumbs in your bed, but consider how thoughtful your sweet baby Crue was to leave you a plentiful snack in the event you awake during the night due to hunger pains. So considerate!
so do you remember the compilation tape we used to listen to with that song on it? it also had "rose colored glesses" -and do you remember that song "my names not lisa, my name is julie"- ha- i just thought that would bring back some fond memories as well! also (same time period and also on the family playlist at the time was sylvia- remember nobody? yep we loved that crackers song a lot:)you were so cute.
oh, Crue is getting so big!
